This weekend at Dutch Springs was the kind of experience that made me want to become an instructor. We had 15…count ’em 15 different divers come together to get certified, fun dive, build our skills, and just have an amazing time! My colleague “Pro Dive” Serif, was there working with our dive team, our students, and our other friends who joined us this weekend.
For starters, several members of the Fifth District Volunteer Dive Team came out this weekend. We had a weekend of certifications, fun diving, and team building.
On Saturday (August 26th), we had 12 divers, including 6 Open Water students. We also worked on Dry Suit class, Underwater Navigation class, and of course some plain old fun diving. Temps at Dutch Springs were 79 degrees F at the surface decreasing about 5 degrees every 10 feet.
Sunday was an extra helping of SCUBA awesomeness, with 8 divers. We welcomed 6 brand new Open Water divers to the fold and finished up an Advanced Open Water certification while we were at it. More fun diving was in the cards as well!
An amazing weekend at Dutch Springs, a great time with great dive buddies (both old and new!)
Congratulations to our newest Open Water scuba Divers and Advanced Open Water Scuba Divers. I look forward to diving with all of you in the NEAR future!
