If you are in Federal Hill, Canton, Hampden, Mount Vernon, Fells Point, Roland Park, or anywhere in Baltimore City, you are close enough to train with me. I regularly work with students who want patient, skills-first scuba training without the rushed class vibe.
The goal is not speed. The goal is control, comfort, and real competence so that when you finish, you actually feel like a diver.
How training works
- Knowledge: Learn the concepts and standards so the skills make sense.
- Pool sessions: Build comfort, buoyancy, and problem-solving in controlled water.
- Open water dives: Complete required dives at approved open water sites and earn your certification when you meet the standards.
Pool sessions are scheduled based on class structure and availability. Some classes run on fixed dates. Others allow more flexibility. You can review options before committing.

Training logistics
Baltimore City students typically complete pool sessions in regional facilities based on season and availability. Open water dives are conducted at appropriate approved sites for certification.
If you are already certified and want to sharpen skills, we can also focus on buoyancy, comfort, and situational control in a structured session.
Required personal gear
For initial open water certification training, students provide the following minimum personal gear:
- Mask
- Snorkel
- Fins
- Boots
If you need help choosing properly fitting gear, I will guide you. No unnecessary upsells.
Who this is for
- New divers who want structured, patient instruction
- Adults who prefer small-group learning
- Nervous beginners who want calm coaching
- Certified divers who want a skills tune-up or better buoyancy
Next step: Browse classes if you are ready to move forward. If you want to talk it through first, reach out with your neighborhood and timeline and we will build a clean plan.
