This experience is perfect if:
- You’ve always been curious about scuba but weren’t ready to jump straight into a class
- You want a safe, guided first experience with a professional instructor
- You’re deciding whether Open Water certification is right for you
You must be at least 10 years old and in reasonable physical health. No prior scuba experience required. If you can breathe, listen, and smile through a regulator, you’re already ahead of the game.

What will you learn?
This is a hands-on experience, not a lecture.
You’ll learn the basic safety concepts and core skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. If we head into open water, you’ll practice skills in shallow water first so everything feels calm and controlled.
You’ll get to:
- Learn how scuba equipment works and how surprisingly easy it is to move underwater
- Experience what it feels like to breathe underwater
- Practice the foundational skills every certified diver uses on every dive
- Swim around, explore, and get comfortable underwater
- Ask honest questions about what certification actually involves

Before we ever get in the water, I’ll walk you through the key safety concepts, explain how the gear works, and demonstrate the skills you’ll be using. We take the time needed to make sure you feel comfortable and confident before your first breath underwater.
If you decide afterward that scuba is your thing, I’ll walk you through next steps toward certification. If not, no worries. You still get an awesome experience and a great story.
What scuba gear will you use?
All required scuba equipment is provided.
That includes a mask, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, gauges, and tank. You don’t need to buy anything or show up with gear. Just bring swimwear, a towel, and a little curiosity.
How Long Will It Take?
Plan on a couple of hours from start to finish. We move at a relaxed pace and take the time needed to make sure you’re comfortable.
