DWF’s Plugin Playground

Frank dives deep into WordPress — building plugins when he can’t find the ones he needs.
A bold, retro-inspired digital illustration featuring a scuba diver (Frank) working on a laptop underwater. Coral, bubbles, and fish swirl around him while stylized sun rays rise above the words Dive With Frank Plugin Playground. The palette mixes deep teal, orange, and sand tones, evoking both ocean adventure and creative coding energy.

When the ocean is calm, the code gets loud.

Every now and then I run into something on my WordPress site that makes me think, “There has to be a plugin for that.”
And then I look.
And there isn’t.

So… I started writing them.

This page is where those little creations live — some tidy, some scrappy, all useful in their own way. As I refine them, I’ll keep adding more. My personal software process has always been:
1️⃣ Make it work.
2️⃣ Make it work well.
3️⃣ Make it work well for others.

That third part — that’s for you fine folks — and it takes a whole lot more time than the first two.

So check back often! New capabilities will show up as I need them… or as you request them.
Want something built? Tell me. I can’t promise miracles, but if it’s cool (and not too far from shore), I might just dive in.

Oh, and fair warning: I’m coding a lot less when it’s scuba season.
So if you want your feature requests answered fast — better get them in during the winter. 🧜‍♂️💻

Explore the Playground

Want to see what’s live? Head up to the DWF menu → Plugins and poke around.
As new tools surface there, you’ll get to explore them, test them, and maybe even help shape what comes next.

Because like any good dive site — this playground keeps evolving the more we explore it. 🌊💻
