If you are in College Park, Bowie, Greenbelt, Hyattsville, Laurel, or anywhere in Prince George’s County, you are well within range. I regularly work with students across the county who want structured, skills-first scuba training.
The focus is not speed. The focus is control, comfort, and real competence so that when you finish, you feel steady and capable in the water.
How certification works
- Knowledge: Learn the concepts and standards so the skills make sense.
- Pool sessions: Build comfort, buoyancy, and problem-solving in controlled water.
- Open water checkout dives: Demonstrate the skills in open water and earn your certification.
Pool sessions are scheduled based on class structure and availability. Some classes run on fixed dates. Others allow flexibility. You can review options before committing.

Training logistics
Students from Prince George’s County typically complete pool sessions in regional facilities based on season and availability. Open water checkout dives are conducted at appropriate approved sites for certification.
The emphasis is on structured progression and skill development, not rushing through requirements.
