DWF Is Going Oyster Diving on October 10th, 2026!
We’re going oyster diving.
If you love scuba diving and you love fresh oysters, this one’s a no-brainer. Cold water, honest work, and an excellent payoff at the end of the day.
Join me on the morning of October 10th off
Kent Island, Maryland
for a classic Chesapeake Bay oyster harvest dive.
Show time: 7:00 am
Boat leaves: 7:30 am sharp
Cost: $150
Includes:
Your seat on the boat and organized dive logistics.
Does not include:
Transportation to and from the dock, scuba equipment, tanks, weights, or crew gratuity.
Tanks and weights are available as add-ons if you need them. Bringing your own is always welcome.
What to Know Before You Go
This is a two-tank dive in brackish water, so weight yourself like you would for salt water.
Depth: 15 to 20 feet
Water temperature: Typically in the 60s to low 70s in October, depending on conditions.
At a minimum, plan on a 7mm wetsuit. A hood and gloves are strongly recommended.
You must bring a goodie bag and a lift bag. A bag of oysters weighs about the same as a bag of rocks, and your BCD is not designed to be a cargo hauler.
Bring a cooler so you can transport your oysters home. You will be glad you did.
If you have questions about the dive or logistics,
contact DWF before booking.
Let’s do some diving.
