Dive With Frank Roatán: April 2027

Unlimited Diving at CocoView Resort
April 24 – May 1, 2027 • Roatán, Honduras

Warm Caribbean water. Easy entries. Walls, wrecks, reefs, night dives, critters, camera opportunities, and the kind of dive freedom that makes you start mentally justifying “one more dive” before your wetsuit is even dry.
Dive With Frank is heading back to CocoView Resort in Roatán, Honduras for a full week of diving, relaxing, eating, laughing, and generally remembering why we got into scuba in the first place.
Optional underwater photography support will be available during the week with CocoView’s resident photo pro, Mickey Charteris, author of Caribbean Reef Life.
Want to work on composition, lighting, fish behavior, buoyancy, or getting that one shrimp to stop looking like a blurry space goblin? Great. Want to leave the camera in the room and just go diving? Also great.
Why CocoView?
CocoView is one of those places divers talk about with a slightly suspicious sparkle in their eyes. Not because it’s flashy. Not because it’s trying to be a luxury resort with scuba sprinkled on top.
CocoView is special because it is built around diving.
You can roll out of bed, grab your gear, and go shore diving. The house reef is right there. The wreck is right there. The walls are right there. Night dives? Right there. That kind of access changes the whole rhythm of a trip.
No rushing. No cattle boat chaos. No “welp, that was your one dive, please exit through the gift shop.”
Just diving. A lot of diving.
During the week, we’ll have access to CocoView’s classic dive setup: scheduled boat dives, drop-off dives, unlimited shore diving, tanks, weights, meals, airport transfers, and plenty of time to settle into that wonderful dive-trip rhythm of dive, eat, nap, repeat.
Brutal? No.
Worth it? Absolutely.

Optional underwater photography clinics, review sessions, and practice opportunities throughout the week at CocoView Resort.
If you are a diver who wants to come down, enjoy Roatán, eat good food, do a pile of dives, and never touch a camera all week, you are absolutely in the right place.
That said, CocoView is a fantastic place to improve your underwater photography because you can practice again and again without waiting for the next boat schedule. See something weird on the house reef? Go back. Want to try the same shot at night? Go back. Want to spend twenty minutes politely negotiating with a blenny? Live your truth.
For those who are interested, we’ll have optional photo support available during the week with Mickey Charteris. This may include casual clinics, photo review, technique discussion, and in-water practice opportunities.

No pressure. No intimidation. No “my camera housing costs more than my car” energy required.

Who Is This Trip For?
You do not need to be local to Maryland, DC, or Virginia to join this trip. Divers are welcome from anywhere, and DWF will help coordinate arrival information, trip communication, and pre-trip planning remotely.
This trip is ideal for divers who want a relaxed, dive-heavy week in warm water with a small group of people who actually like being underwater.
You do not need to be an expert diver. You do not need to be a photographer. You do need to be comfortable diving, willing to listen to briefings, and ready to be part of a group that values safety, fun, and not being a complete underwater menace.
If it has been a while since your last dive, DWF will offer opportunities for refresher work before the trip.
Can Non-Divers Come?
Maybe, but let’s chat first.
CocoView is very much a diver’s resort. A non-diving guest who wants a quiet week of relaxing, reading, kayaking, hammocks, and tropical downtime may enjoy it. A non-diver looking for nightlife, shopping, luxury resort entertainment, and constant land-based activities may not.
If you’re interested in bringing a non-diving guest, Ask Frank about non-diver accommodations and we’ll talk through whether this trip makes sense.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
International travel involves real-world variables: weather, flight delays, medical issues, family emergencies, passport problems, and all the other little gremlins that love to appear right when you’ve packed your fins.
Please protect your trip investment.
Passport Reminder
Honduras requires travelers to have at least six months of passport validity remaining before travel. Please check your passport early. Not “the week before we leave” early. Actual adult-responsibility early.
Ready to Go Diving?

This is going to be a week of warm water, easy diving, reef life, night dives, boat dives, shore dives, good food, good people, and the kind of underwater freedom that makes you remember why diving is magic.
Come for the diving.
Bring a camera if you want.
Leave room in your brain for octopus encounters, questionable fish identification, and at least one dinner conversation that starts with, “Okay, but did you SEE that thing?”
Let’s do some diving.
